Quickie!

since my beloved asked me to update my blog, i shall then ;)
and since i have a few mins to spare, might as well just log in and say hi :)

been super busy! back-to-back, day-to-day. this will continue all the way up to Nov20, where Emerge POS (parade of schools = cheerleding) is over and my first sem finishes :D then it'll be hol hol hol!! :D

but til then, it shall be work, work and work all the way. been enjoying myself though i've been super packed. i'm enjoying my course though it gives us truck loads of stressful assgs; am enjoying leading my POS team though there are datelines to meet and so little time! my members are truly a joy..can't ask for more coorporative and crazy people ;)

nowadays, it's difficult to fork out time to spend with my loved ones. am out the whole day almost everyday..hardly ever at home. i think my body is also accustomed to the fact that it no longer gets much of its needed rest and pampering. but thank God whenever i get to spend time with my family, it is always quality time together :)

and not forgetting my beloved bro. bock ;)
have not been on dates for as long as i can remember. me having truck loads of assgs and him having super a lot of stuff to handle at work; me being MINT's POS captain and him being Local U Cluster Leader; and both of us being active members in church, we hardly ever get the time to go for proper dates anymore.

thus, this is when we gotta get creative, and not to mention sacrificial. the only time we get to spend together is in the morning. yes, around 1-2am in the morning. when our POS practices, leaders meeting, prayer meeting, cell groups, etc etc are over. he would sacrifice sleeping early, come all the way from home just to give me a ride home from POS pracs (plus the usual three- Phaik Chia, Justin and Sung too. haha).
he's so sweet :)

as much as we all anticipate the Emerge day to come, and the rest and holiday it brings when everything is over; i'm already saddened by the fact that i'll miss being always on the go, miss having POS pracs with my members, miss stressing out and thinking every milisecond there is, miss our little midight yumchas/chats at my place, etc..

guess this is life..and i'm enjoying every season of it :)

Sam & Eunice's wedding

Sam & Eunice's love story is really one in a million.

How often do you come across two people
who've known each other for a whole 21 years,
been in the same class since kindergarten,
primary & secondary, and have been liking each other since...?

they went their seperate ways for coll & uni (which is when Boon got to know Sam as they were in the same uni), came back together, and their love still as strong as ever?

sounds like a perfect love story, ain't it?
well, maybe such sweet fairy tales DO exist :)

pre-wedding camho pics!
lacey stuff!

sunlight is a girl's best friend for camho-ing ;)

at church with loveen.
waiting for the bride, and the...groom? hahah :P

the kids! :)
Eunice is the HOD of Children's church. hence, the number of kids. oh, spot Melody my sis! :)

Eunice & her dad walking down the aisle.
this scene never fails to move me.

a very special ring :)

beautiful :)
especially her classic looking hairdo.

look at the gown! and the petals :)

:)

emos :P

wedding bells!

some of the children's church teachers :)

am still wondering how brides i've seen so far havent cried like how i imagine i'd on my future wedding day. being in a wedding already makes me wanna cry.

especially when i see the anticipation of the groom waiting at the end of the aisle (yes, 27 dresses!), the tears of the newlyweds' parents, the ham-fok look of the bride, the adoring eyes of the groom...

okay i know i'm a hopeless romantic and drama queen. don't burst my bubble and just let me be... :P

i still have the classical, old-fashioned thinking that weddings are the start of a new chapter and should be anticipated and celebrated with loved ones, and that the wedding day should be made as beautiful and memorable as possible. we only wanna get married once, right? well, i do :)

okay enough on weddings.
post-wedding camho pics! ;)

picture perfect pictures :)

:)

my baby this one :)

on a totally seperate non-related note,
watched Gamer today, and those blur super fast actions and super zoomed-in scenes aside, MAN, the whole movie was full of boobies and butt cheeks everywhere! and i mean real exposed boobies! t'was really a feast for the eyes for the guys man.

and yes i watched it in our very own TGV cinema. maybe Baldwin was right about the censorship people all balik kampung for Raya edi...mo-ngan-tai at all the movies. and man, all the words like F*CK was loud and clear throughout the movie too!

hmmmm maybe Msia is getting more and more open after 52 years. hahahaha :P
urgh assginments......................

Swedish camho appreciation

camho-ing in changing rooms;
girls do it,

and guys do too. nah don't lie!

those are just random pics i got from Google.

my point is, bloggers or even non bloggers nowadays camho in changing rooms whether they buy the clothes or not, or perhaps just to take pics as blogging materials. or perhaps to ask for their readers/ people's ideas on whether they should get the top or not, etc.

yes, i am not spared either ;)

and then, i came across this brilliant stuff!
yes, from fooyoh.com again. they spill really interesting stuff.

Fashion blogs have become so popular in Sweden that a Stockholm department store has announced its plans to open up dressing rooms made especially for these fashionistas.

Advertising company Ruth and department store Kfem in Vällingby together came up with the idea of installing cameras in dressing rooms, where shoppers can have their pictures taken, which would be made available to be posted online right away. By the end of September, fifteen departments in Kfem should have the new changing rooms installed. "Our aim is to catch up on different trends," said Andreas Petterson, Kfem's marketing manager.

"The bloggers have a huge impact in Sweden these days, so it was an obvious thing to push through."Each week, the store plans to host an "Outfit of the week" campaign, where bloggers can agree to have their pictures used to advertise the clothes in Swedish newspapers. Though the models won't get paid for the adverts, Petterson stressed that cheap advertising isn't the reason for installing the new dressing rooms: "Certainly it's very cheap for us, but we are doing this for the fashion bloggers, who probably will get excited to see themselves in the papers.

"People who don't blog will also not be obstructed by these dressing room queues. Petterson said, "There wll be just one special dressing room in each department, and each store will make sure it won't affect anyone else."

like, uber cool, isn't it?
camho appreciation. it is a skill! and should be appreciated ;)

if only bloggers were put as a priority in Msia.
AND if only more people realised the power of blogging.
AND if only we weren't that ignorant and conventional.
AND if we were as innovative.
AND if.....

haahahaha but actually i'm not such a blogging enthusiast either. don't crave to get all the stats and recognition..this can be proved by the amount of post i have per week/month/year.

maybe there are just more meaningful things in life to occupy my time? i don't know. all these adverts and stuff just don't give me enough motivation to blog. the mood comes when it comes.

just don't see the need of obligating myself to blog everyday like some do, which i really admire their persistence. sometimes they even run out of things to blog about and it's the same old thing over again..which becomes meaningless. maybe am just not the type of person to force myself to do things that i don't want to, just because i'm "obliged" to.

oh well :)
how did i even get there? haha so, you guys get the whole point of my post today?

cos i don't. hahahaha sorry for confusing you.
blame the headache!

love, careen.

celebrity juices

it's been ages since i last visited Perez, or even clicked on any celebrity gossip sites.

so since today it was pretty boring and dry as usual in CCS lab, and also since i've been wondering what are those fooyoh.com celebrity gossips on the right side of my blog (ahhaha yes i dont care about the adverts), i started to click on them and soon it became addictive :P

love that the gossips are brief and simple, with really interesting contents and pictures too (most of the gossips are abt female celebs anyway).

came across many, but one really caught my attention.
and yes, it's about the foxymama who catches everybody's attention- Megan Fox.

quoted from fooyoh.com:

Looks like Megan Fox is on her way to become the next super diva with this sort of character. Apparently, she's unfriendly, besides being impossibly hot. Three crew members from Transformers decided to write out a really lengthy essay (?), on MichaelBay.com to illustrate the kind of person she is. Excerpt below.

We know this quite intimately because we've had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies. We've spent a total of 12 months on set making these two movies.

We are in different departments; we can't give our names because sadly doing so in Hollywood could lead to being banished from future Paramount work. One of us touches Megan's panties, the other has the often shitty job of pulling Ms. Sour pants out of her trailer, while another is near the Panaflex camera that helps to memorialize the valley girl on film.

Megan has the press fooled. When we read those magazines we wish we worked with that woman. Megan knows how to work her smile for the press. Those writers should try being on set for two movies, sadly she never smiles. The cast, crew and director make Transformers a really fun and energetic set. We've traveled around the world together, so we have never understood why Megan was always such - the grump of the set?

When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star. And yes we've had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it's very cringe-able. So maybe, being a porn star in the future might be a good career option. But make-up beware, she has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due her rotten childhood) easily another 45 minutes in the chair!

why am i not surprised at all that she's a diva?
oh well.

and how can we miss out the infamous Kanye West and Taylor Swift drama during the VMAs.
my sisters have been telling me about it and it never seemed to have bothered me, until one fine day when i saw a tweet from Sun's twitter, asking if we've checked out what Kelly Clarkson wrote on her blog about Kanye.

checked it out and man, it seems like a big issue, even to other celebrities. okay i sound very ignorant but maybe celebrity gossips really have nothing to do with my life at all. but it is interesting nonetheless. so here's the link to Kelly's blog ;)

thumbs up, hands up and legs up for Kelly! :D
admire her bravery for speakin up.

honestly, yes Taylor Swift's video was nothing special and great compared to Beyonce's. but she's good nonetheless, and whoever wins, wins lah.

Maybe Kanye just wants to grab the spotlight since the award has nothing to do with him anyway. hate these award-freaks. but i still love Kanye's music..it's just that he really does seem a lil low life.

oh well, back to assignments.
*group hugs* :)
